Büyükada, the largest and popular island, among the 9 islands of Princes’ island welcomed me with rain and clouds. And yes I was also welcomed by lots of friendly cats and dogs. 🐈 🐕 The island is not only beautiful, but also historically enriched. All the houses, roads are beautifying the island with different colours of Bougainville, Magnolias, and plenty other beautiful flowers, and tall trees. 🌺🌲

If you are planning to stay the night in Büyükada, then I will suggest you to explore the island by walking. If you are planning to spend just few hours, then you can hire a bicycle or a horse cart to explore the place. If you are planning to go there during summer, then do stay there at least one night. ♥️

I took this picture from the highest peak of the island, near Aya Yorgi Church. Due to time shortage, and to have an old time feel, I opted for horse cart ride. The guide showed me most of the popular places within the island, however, i would suggest you to take a hike to get here. The whole place is amazingly beautiful, which demands thorough exploration. 🙂

Finally after finishing walking through the island, do complete your trip by treating yourself with an ice cream from any of the parlour! I had it from Prinkipo Ice Cream near the historic pier, it was heavenly! 😍
